Bagh Sanrakshan Avam Grameen Vikas Samiti has been actively working for the past 18 years in and around Ranthambore National Park, dedicating its efforts to environmental protection, forest cleanliness, and community awareness. Over nearly two decades, our organization has consistently taken strong steps to safeguard the natural beauty and ecological balance of Ranthambore and its surrounding rural areas.

During this journey, we launched an impactful initiative called “Mission 20 Plastic,” through which we collected and properly disposed of thousands of tons of waste, primarily plastic. Plastic waste, especially small single-use plastic bags, poses one of the greatest threats to the fragile ecosystem of Ranthambore. These plastics do not decompose naturally and can remain in the environment for hundreds or even thousands of years. They pollute the soil and water, endanger wildlife, and disturb the natural habitat of many species, including the majestic tiger population that makes Ranthambore world famous.

Mission Beat Plastic

Recognizing this serious environmental danger, we initiated a focused and long-term campaign called “Mission Beat Plastic.” This mission aims not only to remove plastic waste from forest areas and nearby villages but also to educate people about the harmful effects of plastic pollution. Our approach combines direct action with awareness programs, ensuring that communities understand the importance of reducing plastic use and adopting sustainable alternatives.

Today, we are proud to have a strong and dedicated team of 70 to 80 young volunteers who are deeply committed to nature conservation. These passionate individuals actively participate in cleanliness drives, tree plantation programs, and awareness campaigns. Their energy, dedication, and love for the environment have played a vital role in making Mission Beat Plastic a continuing success. Whenever we identify plastic-polluted areas in and around Ranthambore, our team immediately organizes clean-up drives and awareness activities in those locations.

We firmly believe that environmental conservation is not a one-time effort but a continuous responsibility. Along with removing waste, we regularly conduct awareness programs in rural communities, schools, and local gatherings to spread knowledge about forest conservation, wildlife protection, and sustainable living practices. Our goal is to inspire people to take ownership of their environment and actively participate in protecting it.

We sincerely express our gratitude to all our volunteers who consistently stand with us in every mission. Their selfless contribution is the backbone of our organization. We are also deeply thankful to our generous donors and supporters whose financial contributions make it possible to organize large-scale environmental programs. Without their support, sustaining such initiatives would not be possible.

Looking ahead, Bagh Sanrakshan Avam Grameen Vikas Samiti remains committed to continuing its environmental efforts with even greater dedication. Our vision is to ensure that Ranthambore and its surrounding regions remain clean, green, and protected from the growing threat of pollution. Through unity, awareness, and consistent action, we aim to create a sustainable future where nature and communities thrive together for generations to come.
